Terms of Service
These terms cover how we quote, perform, and warranty plumbing work, and how this website may be used. They are written plainly on purpose — if anything here is unclear, call us at 519-865-9425 and ask.
Estimates and pricing
We give you a price before we begin work, and you approve it before we start. That price covers the work described. If we open a wall or camera a line and find a different or larger problem, we stop, explain what we found, and give you a new price to approve — we never proceed past your approval.
Prices quoted on this website, in coupons, or in promotional material are indicative. Your actual price depends on what your specific job requires and is confirmed on site.
Coupons and offers
Offers shown on this site apply to new work, cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so, must be mentioned at the time of booking, and may be withdrawn or changed at any time. Offers do not apply retroactively to completed work.
Emergency service
We answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and dispatch as fast as we safely can. We do not promise a fixed arrival time. Response time depends on how many emergencies are active, distance, weather, and road conditions. After-hours and holiday work may be priced differently, and we will tell you that before we dispatch.
Our 1-year labour warranty
We warrant our own workmanship for one year from the date of service. If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did the work, we come back and correct it at no labour charge to you.
This is a labour warranty on our work. It is separate from — and in addition to — the manufacturer’s warranty on any equipment we install. Manufacturer warranties on water heaters, softeners, filtration systems, sump pumps, and fixtures are set by the manufacturer, run for their own term, and are claimed through the manufacturer. We will help you make that claim.
What the labour warranty does not cover
Drain clearing is not a warranty against future clogs — a cleared line can be blocked again by what goes into it, by root regrowth, or by a structural defect in the pipe. Our warranty does not cover new blockages from new causes, misuse or abuse, damage by others, freezing, ground movement, municipal main issues, pre-existing pipe deterioration we identified and you chose not to repair, or work performed by anyone else on the same system.
Pre-existing conditions and older plumbing
Older clay, cast-iron, and galvanized systems can be fragile. Clearing or inspecting an already-deteriorated line can reveal or accelerate a failure that was going to happen regardless. Where we can see that risk in advance, we tell you before we proceed. We are not responsible for the underlying condition of plumbing we did not install.
Access and site conditions
We need safe access to the work area, the shut-off, and the cleanout. Please clear the area and secure pets before we arrive. We take care in your home and clean up after ourselves. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for items left in the work area.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept common payment methods and offer approved-credit financing through iFinance Canada as a separate agreement between you and them — Drains Now Inc. is not the lender and does not set their terms or rates.
Cancellation
Call as early as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is no charge to cancel a booked appointment before we are dispatched. If we have already arrived and you decline the work, a service call fee may apply — we will have told you that fee before dispatch.
Limits of liability
Our liability for any claim connected to our work is limited to correcting the work or refunding what you paid for it, whichever you prefer. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ontario consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Website content
The guidance in our blog and service pages is general information about plumbing, not a diagnosis of your specific system. Plumbing conditions vary. Do not rely on general information in place of having your system looked at — and if water is actively flowing, shut off the supply and call us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
